Stayed here for a weekend business trip. Thought it would have been a nice retreat from the standard business hotels since we didn’t need all the normal computer access. I'll start with a positive. In general the hotel was very clean. The bathrooms especially were VERY nice. The room was a basic hotel room. Now, here’s why I would never... more

My wife and I have stayed here a number of times in the past few years while our children were students at the University of Texas. I like it because it is away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown and the U. Texas campus , which both can be roudy, I have stayed here on nights of football games,... more

This hotel feels very much like a retirement home or assisted living facility, albeit a nice one. The decor is generic. Not elegant and definitely not at all hip which is fine if you're getting something beautiful in return. Our hallway included something that looked like a "nurses station" but was really a room where the mostly surly housekeeping staff... more

Their website is completely misleading. It is in a very unappealing part of town surrounded by fast food restaurants, frat houses and not much else. There is no lobby to speak of. The staff is awful. People walked into our room without knocking or apology. Our room was not ready when we checked in at noon. It was still not... more

Mansion at Judges Hill is a beautiful botique hotel in Austin. My husband and I stayed there for a weekend getaway. At check-in you are greeted with warm fresh cookies from Tiff's Treats (an Austin institution). The hotel is beautifully decorated with antiques and landscaping. We ordered room service, which was absolutely delicious! However when it came to our nights... more

First of all, i'd like to say something positive about the Mansion. The restaurant and the server, Matt, were awesome. The food was also top notch, and being a chef, i was impressed with the presentation as well. In retrospect, I wish I wouldv'e eaten there, and saved the money staying elsewhere. Here's where it all went wrong... I booked... more

My husband and I spent a wonderful romantic weekend here, enjoying the "romance package". On arrival, everything was ready for us; champagne, a dozen roses, chocolate covered strawberries. Our room was on the second floor with access to the balcony. Beautiful Victorian room with silk drapes and heavy dark wood furniture. We were spoiled every moment by the attentive personable... more

We had visited the web site and were impressed with the visuals. However, when we arrived for a romantic get away, we entered the building and walked through a very narrow hallway, eventually finding our way to the reception area. The reception are was the size of a walk-in closet , the staff was cold and robotic and tired. Our... more

I booked this hotel for my first anniversary and was sorry I did not read the reviews. The hotel portion of the property is mis-managed and the service is simply terrible. I have a lot of experience in 2-4 star hotels and this experience ranks down there with my two star experiences. We arrived at the hotel and found it... more

My husband and I stayed here for a wedding held at the same location. The rooms are small, but quaint and nicely decorated. It was more boutique hotel - great location to UT Austin, and overall, I wished we could have stayed her all the nites as it was cheaper than the Omni (too corporate). Highly recommended if you'd like... more
