Jericocoara is amazingly beautiful. The hotel is also nice and with a great location. However, the staff is awful. Very inefficient and unable to solve any troubling situation. The day we checked out the receptionist made a mistake with exchange rates and overcharged us. We realized the error 30 min later. We called and asked for the refund. From then... more
This is a lovely property but unfortunately very poorly managed. I recently celebrated my 40th birthday and brought 40 friends to Jericoacoara. We split the guests between this hotel and Vila Kalango close by. We chose Mosquito Blue because they offered 2 beds per room - perfect for single friends I wanted to put together in order to contain costs... more
Jericoacoara is a special place. Jericoacoara is unique and staying at the Mosquito Blue made this esperience just perfect for us. The location of the Mosquito Blue is the best in Jericoacoara. It is the only hotel whit a sun deck on the beach and a good restaurant whit a large wine list (and this is very important to us);... more
The best hotel we stayed out of 4 different hotels visiting the Ceará and São Luis regions in Brasil. You can choose to be in the beach or in the pool, the sauna just before the night falls is great and the rooms were cousy. Good breakfast, maybe not so good as a restaurant, but then again my restaurant standards... more
Nice atmosphere, good breakfast, standard room OK, nice shower. Breakfast in the beach. Good beach facilities. Very quiet! more
Probably the best property in the town. Beautiful. But expensive when compared to others. My major issue can be summed up in the following: The attitude of the key staff members, front desk, etc. was that I should be happy that I was allowed to stay in their property vs. addressing any issues that we had during our stay. fyi... more
We just returned from a week-long trip to northeastern Brazil, and stayed at the Pousada Blue Jeri during our five days in Jericoacoara. Blue Jeri is affiliated with the Mosquito Blue hotel, but is a separate property located about 100 meters away, further up the hill from the beach. The pousada has a small restaurant/bistro, a travel agency, and a... more
We stayed at the Mosquito Blue for our honeymoon in January. First of all, Jeri is an excellent place - the sand-dunes, sunset, people, capoeira dancing, beach, etc make this place wonderful and definately worth a visit. We started off quite badly in fact by getting a std room despite our agent having reserved (and confirmed twice) that we´d have... more
Jericoacoara, with its rolling sand-dunes and turquoise waters, is as close to perfect as any holiday destination could offer. Unfortunately, the rude, unfriendly and generally ineffective staff at the Mostiquito Blue hotel tarnish the experience. I recommend staying at one of the Brazilian Pousadas nearby rather than this beautiful but fatally flawed hotel more
