Was it because I was a woman traveling alone, or does this hotel exploit all tourists equally? Upon arrival, I was told that my reservation, made using Expedia, was canceled. When I asked for the cancellation number or a copy of the cancellation notice, both the desk personal and manager of the hotel refused! When I asked the manager why... more

The staff was rude to myself and my friend on many occassions. We were quoted several different prices on the same excursions (depending on who we spoke too)...when we did make it to our excursions we found that everyone had paid less than we had. I encountered another American that was frustrated about the same services and even decided to... more

The hotel was located just far enough away from from Copacabana Beach. This was their winter season and the Pan Am Games were ending. The hotel was very clean and convenient. The staff was very friendly and some spoke very good English. Camillia is a sweetheart, she assisted us with making reservations at some nice resturant/clubs. She was the best!... more

This hotel was a breath of fresh air. Really friendly staff with good English. Happy to arrange trips/taxis. Rooms are functional and clean. Breakfast is good and included in the price. Just a couple of blocks from the beach and close to shops/banks/restaurants/bars. Pool is small and closed on Mondays. more

I stayed in the Augusto´´s Copacabana Hotel, which did not have the friendliest staff but the view from the thirteenth floor where our room was could not be argued with. The decor was minimal but felt luxurious and the buffet breakfast was great! The Christ was an amazing experience, as was the view from Sugar Loaf. The match at the Maracana... more

Hotel is ok, I could say sort of Radisson type. Rooms are small and clean. As the other reviewer said there was a stripper in the apartments on the front. She is an woman in her 40's that is walking in her room just in bra and bikini underwear (lingerie not beach bikini) she look at me and she did... more

This is a good hotel, is like 2 blocks from the beach, so you have to walk a little, in the first corner in the way to the beach there's an awful bar and next to it there's a very sad restaurant. So stay away from them, in front of the Hotel crossing the street Copacabana you will find a... more

Simple but good sized rooms close to the beach and relatively quiet for Copacabana. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and after discovering that my travelling companion had a birthday delivered champagne and cake to the room. Excellent breakfast with wonderful fresh juices so all in all very good value for the price more
