We had a great experience at this hotel - it is right on the water, and in easy walking distance of everything in Bocas Town. The rooms were clean and pleasant, and an excellent breakfast is provided every morning. The porch has a hammock and comfortable chairs to relax in, and we made use of the free kayaks available. The... more

We spent two nights at Cocomo on the Sea during Easter week and loved it. We'd tried to get a reservation for three nights but it was only available for two, and I'm so glad we spent two nights here instead of three somewhere else - it was great. Doug, the owner, sets a very comfortable and laid-back tone and... more

We stayed at Cocomo for 3 nights to be in town after having stayed at Punta Caracol (an expensive but very cool bungaows/aqua lodge in area) for 3 nights. While in some ways Cocomo is a sipmle 4 unit motel, in others ways it was so fun.It sits right on the water and has a huge deck with tons of... more

The first time we stayed at Cocomo was for one week in July 2003 and we enjoyed our stay so much that we have returned to stay every year since. We like the fact that it only has 4 rooms so it offers more privacy than a bigger hotel. We like where it is located away from the main part... more

This hotel is my favorite place in the world to stay. It is small and homey, which makes it perfect for relaxing. The location over the water cannot be beat, especially with the hommocks on the dock. Breakfast is fantastic and served right to your door and if relaxing isnt enough, there is free use of kayaks. The staff is... more

Sept. 25, 2007. My wife Susan and I just returned from several days in Bocas del Toro, Panama, where we stayed at Cocomo on the sea. We have been vacationing in Bocas for a number of years, and have stayed at a number of small b & b's there. Cocomo on the sea just felt like home to us. Everything... more

This place has only one thing going for it--the price. There was nothing charming about it. It was seedy, dirty and the furnishings were decrepit. The walls were very thin and you could hear the inhabitants of other rooms. The shower was grungy. The linens and towels were threadbare and worn. Spend a little more money and find something nicer.... more

Cocomos was by far the best place to stay in bocas town. Cocomo is a 4 minute walk from the tiny airport and a 5 minute walk to the very small town. We stayed at the number one rated hotel in town for 2 nights called hotel bocas del toro, hotel bocas del toro does not come close to compare,... more

I loved my stay here and agree with other rave reviews. The whole atmosphere is relaxing and cozy. Each of the 4 rooms has one double bed and a single, both comfy, A/C, fans, private bathroom and NO television. Local art and crafts throughout add the feelng of home away from home. The deck, overlooking the water, has plenty of... more

We stayed at Cocomo on The Sea in Feb. of 2005. The weather was wonderful and the company at this hotel was pleasent. We were one of three couples on the site. Two couples were from Canada, one of the couples had repeatedly visited this hotel. Our daily breakfast was extensive, meaning there were several items to choose from. The... more
