Booked through the friendly and prompt Hotel Website for a room specifying two adults and two kids aged seven and below. First timers even after reading all the wonderful reviews/accolades this Hotel had for many a years. Carparks, are limited to about 15 cars, 2 in front of the building, 13 near the abandoned building. Other than that, guests have... more

The hotel staff recommended the Junior Suite when I told them I am travelling with 3 boys - all below 9 years old. It was slightly more expensive (RM10) than a Quad room however my wife and myself decided to give it a try. We were most happy with the "suite". There was queen size bed and kid-style single bed... more

This is an excellent value at RM260 for 2 nights, but the hotel lacks any character; it feels not much different than a Holiday Inn. The room had only two sliver thin windows, and it was obvious that they renovated only the entryway and bathroom. As with the other reviews, the in-room safe was not working. There is an open-air... more

We stayed at Aldy for 2 nights in November 2007. We stayed at a superior room for RM250 2 nights. It was booked through an online travel agent. The room was beyond expectations. It was clean, tidy and rather cosy. It had an electronic safe which was not working at that time. The bathroom was also big and we were... more

We have stayed in most of the bigger hotels in Malacca like Equatorial, Riveria, Makhota etc. This time, we thought we would like to try a smaller hotel for a change. Having read through some good reviews about Aldy Hotel, I decided to go ahead. The location was good but most of the locals there was not aware of the... more

When I reached Melaka, I was terrified when the locals, & worst, even the taxi drivers don't know where the hotel is & such a hotel exist. However, U will be surprised that it is actually quite centrally located near to many landmarks in Melaka! If next time, you reached there & not sure where the hotel is, ask the... more

Location is everything and nothing beats Hotel Aldy in this matter. Mahkota Parade, Porta de Santiago, City Centre, etc. are all within walking distance as Aldy Hotel is centre to everything. Staffs at the hotel are warm and friendly. The restaurant at the bottom (Bamboo) is a lively place also with very friendly staffs. Bamboo features live music every night... more

This hotel is a no-frills cheap-ish place. It is clean and very basic and the staff are friendly. The evening meal in the downstairs restaurant was very nice, seafood in particular. However, if you want breakfast go somewhere else. The menu is simply full of a hotch-potch of set meals which are actually just shop-bought items like tubs of yoghurt... more

The Aldy Hotel was in an excellent location but was pretty basic and didn't meet my expectations as a boutique hotel by a long shot. The decor was bland and the windows were tiny. We tried to shut one window to stop bugs coming in and the handle fell off. Apparently there was wi-fi available but the reception staff had... more
