Six of us just returned from Pacuare ( two couples and two singles). We stayed in the honeymoon bungalow, a river view bungalow, and the garden view bungalows. This place is even better than it looks on the website. The bungalows are immaculate with canopy style beds, porches, and an amazing hallway leading to immense bathrooms. There is no electricity.... more

This place is a slice of heaven, especially after a full day of rafting! The staff is great, friendly, but not overbearing, always helpful. The rooms are beautiful, where else can you see a hummingbird go by while you are taking a shower? Truly a place to get away from it all. (FYI - you should also be aware that... more

Unbelievable trip in the heart of the tropical forest. Primary forest all around you, next to a rafting river! We were in a garden bungalow, everything else sold out! Screened in rooms with a net over the bed, listening to all the sounds of the forest while very comfortably sleeping without a care in the world! Vacationing extremely comfortable knowing... more

We spent 2 weeks in Costa Rica and this was by far the best experience we had. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a River View Room which was incredible. The bed was probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in. We had a wonderful view of the river and a couple small waterfalls. The dinner... more

What can I say about the Pacuare Lodge that hasn't been said already? This place is unbelievable...My wife and I came here for our 2nd trip to CR. Our bungalow was amazing, the food was great--the desserts were unbelievable...but most importantly the service and hospitality was probably the best I've ever seen. Both my wife and I had never rafted... more

This place is great. The canopy tour, the hiking, the rooms (we got a riverview suite), the staff....everything is perfection. The staff are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Warren the chef was fantastic, he brought us orange juice in bed one morning, he didn't have to as it's not a service they offer, he just did... more

We chose the Pacuare lodge to be the highlight of our two week honeymoon in Costa Rica. We were not disapointed! We had booked the honeymoon suite and honeymoon package. The room was to die for and the food (included in the price) was amazing. (if you like chocolate, go for whatever is offered for dessert: it's made with locally... more

Where do I start? This was the absolute best part of a 2 week trip to Costa Rica. The lodge is run by a co. called Adventuras Naturales. You are taken to Lodge by way of white water rafting because it is literally in the jungle. There are only approx 8-10 bungalows so the service is very personal. The quaintness... more

This review will be repetitive considering all the others. So be it. This place by far exceeded our expectations- and that says a lot. Can't say enough about the beauty of the lodge and the warmth of the staff. Our guide, Chamo, seemed to do it all and the manager, Willman, was so incredibly helpful. The rafting was some of... more

I guess this sounds redundant to all of the other reviews but the Pacuare Lodge really was the best part of our trip to Costa Rica. The guides were amazing - extremely knowledgeable, fun, great English skills. The food was delicious and the happy hour was a great time to meet everyone else at the Lodge. The Canopy tour was... more
