My wife and I stayed at Kiri Lodge and found it to be a very quiet and pleasant experience. We were surprised at the quality of our room for the price. It was simple, but had beautifully tiled floors. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The price also included a wonderful "Tico" breakfast. more

Kiri Mountain Lodge, 3 miles south of Orosi in Cartago, Costa Rica. Do not be deceived by tour books, at $40 a night this is a grossly overpriced hostel, and a poor hostel at that.
