It was our first visit to the cook Islands. So we were not too sure where to stay. We booked through Blue Holidays (Virgin Airlines) and took a chance on what they offered. I have to say we scored!! We stayed at Raina Lagoon Villas (absolute beachfront) for 8 nights on our honeymoon May/June 2007. The view was perfect, and the beach was never crowded. The villas are very spacious; however, they definitely need some updating. The beds and linens need to be replaced as the comforter was very worn looking. This a a wonderful place to stay... 3 nights in the absolute beachfront villa was not enough! The location is perfect... very relaxing, peaceful & romantic- idyllic. Some attention is needed in the villas themselves, the bathrooms need a 'revamp', the out door shower is wonderful but could do with a 'waterblast' to bring it up to scratch. Otherwise your... more

One of the most beautiful countries/island/paradise location in the world. Our private bungalow at Raina Lagoon Villas was located right on the beach and we watched beautiful sunsets directly in front of our balcony overlooking the lagoon. Probably the most relaxing and enjoyable stays I have ever had. Highly recommended more
