We only stayed at this hotel as a one night stop over between a Safari trip and waiting for our flight to Zanzibar. Stayed here for 2 nights before going on to Kruger National Park area. Hotel is in nice area with lots of restaurants nearby. Felt very safe taking talk around neighborhood during the day, able to book a city tour right at hotel desk. Great breakfast. I've stayed in this hotel twice now whilst in Johannesburg on business, and find it to be perfect for my needs. The rooms are clean, roomy and comfortable, nothing fancy, but certainly adequate for the price. Great Location a short walk to Sandton city shopping complex, across the road from Nelson Mandela Square which has more shopping and restaurants including the Butcher Shop which has the most fantastic T Bone Steaks no need to order entree. Formerly a Holiday Inn, this hotel has an excellent location right across the street from the multitude of shops and restaurants in the Sandton City complex. Fast and friendly check in there are two 9-storey towers. Rooms are about what one would expect for a 6-year old HI, reasonable size and reasonable amenities.
