The hotel is located in a very posh residential area. If you like art galleries you will have at least ten at walking distance. This is a great alternative to the Alvear Palace Hotel, which is just as fine as the Sofitel, but $200 per night more expensive. The bar here is smaller than the Alvear's, but is delightful and is a good place to watch people. more

We stayed at the Sofitel for our honeymoon in June 2004. Everything was fantastic for our entire stay. The staff couldn't do enough to accomodate us. The bar staff remembered our favourite canapes and laid on extras each evening. The concereige recommended & booked amazing restaurants and excursions to fill our time.
