We stayed in Dorà for 4 nights, the first 4 ever for us in Argentina. There's nothing much to complain or get excited about this hotel. It's definitely not the cheapest option (we were charged 60 USD/night), but on the other hand offers a good location and a clean room and bathroom. We had a room on the eight floor,... more
Just stayed last week for eight nights and found the hotel to be nice and easy to get everywhere from. Rooms are small yes but I didnt need luxury as I was hardly in the room. I only had the break fast once and it was fine. The other days the dining room was full so I went out for... more
The location is great, almost a stone's throw to the San Martin subte (subway) stop. Just around the corner from the busy pedestrian street Florida. The lobby provides a glimmer of hope as it is fairly attractive and looks fairly recently remodeled. We had prepaid for a five night stay with octupustravel. Our room was another story. First of all,... more
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in October 2005. We found the staff friendly and very helpful. The hotel is informal and is ideally situated for shops, restuarants and the many tourist attractions. We would recommend this as a good value City Centre Hotel. more
Stayed at the Dora for two nights last january and we loved everything about it. Small, simple rooms but very clean and nice. Bathroom had a big tub. The continental breakfast was very good, and the staff very accomodating and polite. Is an old hotel but well kept and the location is very convenient. You can go to the rooftop... more
FYI: our group had three rooms from May 22 to May 30...all on the second floor, two on the outside facing (sometimes-loud) Maipu and one facing the inner plaza garden area. If you're looking for a GENUINE Argentine hotel, with traditional, elegant service, this is the place. Since there were very few online reviews, I went in basically just trusting... more
Although the rooms are small and simple, I recomend this hotel for its value. Nice breakfast, good laundry and dry cleaning services(and it is cheap), and a very nice staff. There always seems to be someone on duty who speaks English. They will arrange tours for you if you like. If you like to shop, the location is ideal, just a... more
My wife and I just returned from a short break in the Argentine capital. We always stay at the Dorá as it is economical, very well located and has style and charm normally not found in less expensive Bs. As. hotels. It is part of a small chain with units in Córdoba and Mar del Plata. The rooms on the... more
I have stayed at Hotel Dora during two long trips to Buenos Aires, the first for 3 weeks, the second for five weeks. It is clean and pleasant, the staff is professional (some are exceptionally warm and welcoming) and we felt safe and secure. more
