Casa Monserrat is situated in Monserrat/San Telmo the traditional neighborhood. Just off the city center, a house of patios. In spacious flowered galleries, typical creoles architecture holds since 1870 our bond with the past. A unique refuge with country life nostalgic, to inhabit Buenos Aires and pulse it culture. more » « less

The hotel served the best Continental breakfast ever - freashly squeezed orange juice, good selection of pastries, cereals, toast, cheese and ham, yoghurt and fruits. It is extra special as the breakfast is on till 11am, which allows some lazy time in the morning. The rooms are clean and comfortable, even though without a tv but comes with a min... more

The Casa Monserrat is a jewel in a safe, but slightly run-down area of Buenos Aires. It has a real home from home feel, with the rooms set around three small courtyards. This is a physically lovely B & B once inside the massive wooden doors. The atmosphere is lively with many women travelers interested in learning tango. The rooms are nicely decorated and the atmosphere is very lush with plantings. Breakfast is plentiful and nicely prepared. Here's the but: the neighborhood is VERY gritty. It is really borderline Monserrat, at best.... more
