We recently spent two night at the Yacutinga Lodge and were quite pleased with our stay. The cabins were clean and quite comfortable. I was surprised to find little baskets of shampoo and lotion just like in a fancy hotel! The food was very good (the beef was a bit overdone for our taste, but that's how Argentinians tend to... more

We stayed in Yacutina for one of their two night, three day experiences. We were met in Iguazu by the lodge team and taken by mini bus and overland to the lodge their we were welcomed (with exquisite empanadas, the best we tasted in Argentina). We went down to our room which looked not very impressive from the outside but... more

This was the last stop on my 19-day trip, and I was really looking forward to being immersed in the jungle amid wildlife. When I got to the pick-up spot, a woman wearing a Yacutinga shirt stared at me until I broke the silence. After that, she was friendlier but it made me a little nervous. Those of us being... more

My 14 year old son and I spent 2 nights at Yacutinga Lodge, Mar 17 and 18 2008. We are from Canada, and were 2 of a total of 15 guests from various countries... Austria, Spain and the US. Great little hotel nestled in the jungle. The rooms are comfortable, and we had a great frog in the bathroom to keep us company. There were excellent jungle tours morning, afternoon, and evening with a biologist. The restaurant was okay, but far from great. And meals are fixed, so if you have a special diet (vegetarian or whatever), you need... more

A stay in this lodge is a jungle experience. The bungalows offer all of what is required, nice, original but not of a 5 star quality. You arrive in the lodge on an open truck, which makes it already special, the road is unpaved and unsuitable for normal cars. The food in the restaurant is good to very good and... more

This place was fantastic. We went with our three kids (17, 15, 11) and my mother (70). We weren't sure beforehand if it was going to be great or awful. It's very expensive, and all correspondence beforehand is done via e-mail (no phone). Plus, we had to wire the full payment ahead. This all made us somewhat suspicious. However, it... more

Our Yacutinga experience was incredible. The staff is all excellent, very friendly and helpful. The lodging is great, each guest has their own private "cabin" with great bed and bathroom facilities. The food is first rate. Upon arrival you are welcomed with iced Yerba Mate tea and delicious homeade bread. The guides are all incredibly knowledgeable on the jungle. It... more

A fascinating place in the true subtropical jungle... however the brochures and details only tell half the story. "Ecotourism" means it takes two hours on a rough road to get there, low comfort accommodation - TAKE YOUR TORCH! - mostly vegetarian food and a gruelling four hour walk on rough terrain with no warning that it can be strenouous... The... more

This lodge is a gem! We stayed here for the two night/three day program which was led by a biologist. The accommodations are separate cabins with a main lodge in the center of the property. The food is healthy and delicious. The entire experience is perfect for those interested in learning about the culture of the area and treading lightly... more
