Although all hotels in El Calafate are expensive this was an average hotel Good points Its close to town so easy to get to restaurants and shops. Also good internet facilities and the public areas were attractive although not used, felt sorry for the bar staff who had nothing to do Bad points Double rooms had single beds in them... more

Excellent location. Large bedroom and bathroom but rooms very hot with no air conditioning. Breakfast continental only and very poor. Fruit, toast and juice not replinished unless requested to do so and the service was slow and surly. more

We spent one night at El Quijote, in the midst of a 12 day swing through Patagonia. The hotel room itself was pretty luxurious compared to others we experienced - large room, well-appointed bathroom, and so on. The hotel is quite centrally located in Calafate, so you'll have no trouble walking to restaurants, tour agencies, shopping and the like. I... more
