At first, pleasant surprise. Warm and cosy, large well appointed rooms. Dont be fooled. It s impossible to have a good night´s sleep here. Noisiest hotel I have every stayed in: paper thin walls, very unpractical keys which make a fracas and take forever to open the door - so you know exactly when your neighbours come back in. We were in El Calafate to see the glaciers and the beautiful land of Patagonia, and I booked us into the Sierra Nevada hosteria. A great place. Seems brand new! Staff speak English and very helpful. Beautiful location at the edge of El Calafate but within easy walking distance of everything in town. On-site restaurant, contintental breakfast (very good) included. They even provided pack lunches for your journeys to the glaciers. more
