I spent 3 nights in Calafate. This hotel was chosen by ByT Argentina agent. After Hilton Buenos Aires and Hosteria Los Fuegos it was in comparison the worst place I stay. The room was unpleasant, poorly equipped, service uneperienced and spansh speaking only. But daylong boat trip to Uppsale Glacier and next day to Perito Moreno Glacier was unforgetable. One... more

We booked this hotel via glacier excursions package with Ripio Tours. The weirdest thing about this hotel is that there are no deadbolts on the doors. You just push in the button on the doorknob to lock your room and you use a regular key. Very odd. We had a room on the ground floor right next to the street... more

We have just returned from our South American travels, of course had to stay in El Calafate to visit the wonderful Glacier etc.... we spent 3 nights at the Hotel Bahia Redonda (breakfast inc). It is between a 2 & 3 star hotel, very basic, and management dont seem to have had a lot of experience in the hotel business...... more
