The Road

For a Marriott, this one is lower down the list of nice places. The location is just bland, off a frontage road. The surrounding businesses aren't too nice. We got the cheap weekend rate, and apparently a bunch of bikers and families with loud kids did as well. The room itself was pretty nice, with a good size kitchen including... more

I frequently stay at Residence Inn properties across the country. This Residence Inn does not meet the standards of most of the other properties in this chain. My room was partially renovated to look like a typical updated Residence Inn room, but with close inspection the room was pretty shabby and dated. The breakfast was not well stocked, and they... more

We booked this room through priceline.com for $79 night for a baseball tournament. The area is not great but within the hotel grounds we felt safe. The king size bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great. The pool and jacuzzi area were clean. The laundry room was clean as well. We would stay here again. more

This Residence Inn is perfectly acceptable, but not remarkable. We stayed there for $68/night as a result of a Priceline bid. I would not spend over $100/night for the accommodation. The location, by Metrocenter mall off of I-17, was central for us, only because we were attending baseball games from Surprise all the way to Mesa. However the hotel is... more

Spent several weeks here on business. Location is OK; easy to access the interstate, there are several corner stores in the area. Neighborhood might be a bit sketchy, but it's not terrible - I never felt unsafe. A few chain restaurants in the immediate area (Lone Star, Outback, Fuddruckers), and many others only a few minutes away. Per the title,... more

i booked my stay directly with Marriott and got a great auto club rate of $90. I wanted to catch a Coyotes Hockey game in Glendale, and on the map it said only 20 minutes from the arena. I took the main road to Glendale, and yes, it was only 20 minutes! Now, I am not sure why the others... more

Hard to believe this is in the Marriott family of hotels. The location is terrible, right on the freeway in a pretty sketch neighborhood. If you're a light sleeper, forget about it; the freeway noise is loud and constant. The maintenance guy who kindly let me into my room that I locked myself out of observed "it's so loud! It's... more

Decent Residence Inn, typical of most others I have been to. The neighborhood is awful, location isn't very good as it is located on the 17 one-way frontage road. Hard to get in and out of. more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn. It was very open and airy. The staff were helpful and friendly. The children loved having the pool all to themselves as this is primarily a business hotel. The little touches make it homey and inviting such as a candy dish and complimentary popcorn packet. more

Huge apartment-style rooms with full kitchens are nice. So is the bag of popcorn the hotel leaves near your microwave. Decor is a little worn, but not horrible. The bed is pretty uncomfortable -- it's more of a mattress pad than a mattress. Hotel is right on the freeway, surrounded by a ton of chain restaurants and other hotels. I'm... more
