Wow. We did not stay here but ate at their very pricey restaurant. The food was fabulous. However it was marred by the horrible service. We booked the Hermosa Hideaway package with a King bed for New Year's Eve 2007. Our troubles began upon check in. We checked in and were shown to our room and were immediately surprised and upset to find a Queen sized bed and no fireplace. This little hotel has such promise, but fails in so many ways. Rooms are not very well kept, are small, and not very comfortable. It is an old property so I understand that maintenance can be an issue...but if you advertise as being a luxury property, you should have worked on all these little things. Nice room with old plumbing. Supposed to be renovated this winter. Maids are incompetent. E.g. towels in toilet, condum in fireplace, dirty towels removed, but not replaced.
