Our room at the Havasupai Lodge was spartan (no television or phone, bare walls) but clean. The shower had good flow. The hotel lobby was shabby with furniture that looked like it was pilfered from a dump. The lobby's one modern accoutrement was a computer with internet access. However, the lobby is open only from 8 to 5, just when... more

By now you should have a feel for the property -- basic amenities, with indifferent staff -- but we found it clean. My main point is to take your written confirmation to show them you have a reservation! That's all they looked at to give us a room. No computer, no log book, no nothing as far as we could... more

Just returned from a three day two night stay at the Havasupai Lodge. After reading reviews here and elsewhere, I was very leary about this property. I should preface this review by saying I normally stay in above average accomodations. I took my own sheet and a small camping pillow, towel, etc. for this trip. I didn't even take the... more

The room was filthy and the crown jewel was the fact that there was thong underwear left in the bathroom floor. All that for only $125.00 in January. more

What a contrast! First the lodge - If you like 1)paying Hyatt prices for something less than a Motel 6 experience; 2) staff with a hospitality rating somewhere between indifference and annoyance; 3) the outdoor aroma of equine feces and urine; 4) dodging dozen of roaming dogs and strewned litter; and 5) paying $10 to $15 for cuisine resembling a... more

The lodge was better than expected after reading the reviews. Our room was basic but comfortable enough after a long day's dusty hike. Lots of hot water for the shower/bath, there were even sachets of shampoo and conditioner. We would have really appreciated a coffee machine though. The cafe didn't open until 7.30am (well, that's what it said on the... more

We enjoyed the falls, they're beautiful, but we were very disappointed in the conditions at the lodge and in the village in general. We had quite a few problems getting reservations, since the folks that run this lodge are not good at returning calls or any other normal business practices. Upon our arrival, we found the office closed at 1:00... more

The location is stunning! The ladies in the office don't open up until nearly 8:30 each day, then they have to do paperwork & things so they don't want you to bother them right away after that. Our first day the water shut OFF at about 4:50pm, their response was "It's probably a broken pipe, they probably know about it".... more

Animal Lovers Beware!!!!! Well the first thing you see are pack horses over packed and over worked, but that's nothing compared to the horses on the bottom in the village everyone of the horses and I mean all, are under fed to say the least they all have ribs showing badly some of the baby's (colts) could hardly stand from... more

Hikers beware!! We had been looking forward to this trip for months and had reservations at the lodge for 2 nights. We took the 8 mile trek into the village and made our way to the lodge to check in, only to find a sign on the door saying that they were closed due to no electricity or water. When... more
