We recently stayed overnight at the La Posada Hotel and found it to be an especially lovely place - both inside and out. We stayed in the Dorothy Lamore room which was spacious and well-appointed. We had dinner and breakfast at the famed "Turquoise Room" restaurant and while both were delicious, the dinner really was fantastic. We took the advice... more

We had been to La Posada previously and were very excited to return. The place is beautiful, historic and a little spooky. The paintings add to that slightly spooky feeling, but in a nice way. Our first visit was wonderful. Our second was not. We booked two rooms at the end of the hall on the right hand side. Nice,... more

Hubby and I recently stayed at the La Posada. We thought it would be fun because of the history of Fred Harvey, Mary Coulter, and the hotel itself. The fact that the owners are restoring the hotel to it's former glory is great. You feel like you are traveling back in time. However, some of the artwork on the wall... more

The place is really cool, and it's great that the owners are restoring the building. We stayed in the Gary Cooper room. The room was comfortable, but had a very small window with no view, it I would have known I would have upgraded to a room with a better view. It is a relaxing place and would be a... more

I've written review of La Posada in the past, about 2 years ago, but as they have done so many improvements, and we've revisited since, I felt it important to add a new review. The city of Winslow even seems to have changed-- a bit livelier? Is it possible? The hotel itself is massive, colossal, insanely gorgeous. It is lavished... more

Spent one night in Winslow just so we could stay at the La Posada. We booked the cheapest room option - a small, but very comfortable and beautiful room on the second floor. The front desk staff were friendly, but don't expect resort-type customer service. This is much more informal. We happened to be in Winslow during a freak storm... more

I wouldn't ordinarily advise that anyone even stop at Winslow, but our two-night stay at La Posada was one of the finest that I can recall. I'm a railfan, so I reserved a room on the second floor, facing the tracks. As this is a very busy BNSF mainline joining Chicago and LA, others may opt for a quieter room.... more

What a gem! The loveliest hotel and best restaurant for hundreds of miles around, it can and should be considered a destination in the 4 Corners region. In April 2008, we had a lovely room (deluxe) that was full of charm and comforts just like the rest of the hotel. It is rare to find a place that exceeds your... more

I stayed at La Posada for three nights in early April 2008. It's a delightful 1930s railway hotel which is being 'done up' by the current owners. Do not let that give you the idea its a building site, it isn't. All the public areas are beautifully decorated with original artworks adorning many walls (the artist is also one of... more

My partner and I booked on whim during a road trip from L.A to Santa Fe and were delighted with La Posada. The staff were friendly and helpful (though one waiter was a little too chatty) and the rooms were quite unique. We had such a great experience that we booked again on our return. We had a different room... more
