I found the Downtown Berkeley Inn to be very clean, comfortable and conveniently located walking distance to shops, restaurants, BART, university. The decor had a nice, simple and modern feel. The rates are very reasonable and the owner was a lovely person and extremely helpful when I had questions. I loved it and I would absolutely stay here again!!!! more

This motel is a very good choice when visiting the campus. It is clean and newly refurbished, and located a short walk from the BART and the campus (about two or three blocks to either). A car was not necessary if you are using BART. The owners were very nice and helpful, and seemed eager to make the stay pleasant.... more
