We stayed here years ago and thought we'd stop by on our way to San Diego. The staff in the past has always been wonderful. Ellie (The Mgr ) has always been gracious, and Brian who always had time for us loved to tell the stories about famous people who stayed or had their photos taken with the owner Paul... more

We happened upon the Castle Creek Inn by accident. It was late, we were tired,...... It is in a beautiful location and the grounds are nice, but the rooms were terrible. They smelled old and musty, the carpet was filthy, the walls were thin and the whole room had a tired and overused feel. The fixtures were worn out and... more

Where to start? There is remodeling going on so I would maybe give them a little benefit of the doubt but not much. I almost cried once we got settled in - I wanted to go home. We could not believe these rooms for the price - I wanted to leave but there was nowhere close by that had rooms... more

This hotel is in dire need of a safety makeover. I shut the bathroom door and the bathroom door knob fell into my hand. I was trapped in the bathroom with no option but to take the door off its hinges by removing the bolts. This took me quite some time but I knew yelling for help would be futile... more

We sincerely regret the experience this guest had at our Inn. We have spoken to the front desk clerk that was on at the time and instructed them about their response and that they should have called a manager. We have never experienced this type of problem before. Unfortunaly, the guest we believe this happened to was a walk-in guest...

This hotel is a little piece of heaven! The grounds are breathtaking and well-kept. The rooms have an "old world" flair, and are impeccably clean, offering wonderful amenities. I would have loved to have had more dresser space and perhaps a small refrigerator for beverages, but otherwise it could not have been nicer. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accomodating.... more

My wife (a frequent traveller) and I decided to take a short business/pleasure trip to the San Diego area. We planned to spend 2 nights at the castle Creek inn which we found on the internet. My wife contacted the inn by telephone to verify room availability and pricing. Upon arrival we were immediately over charged by $100.00 above the... more

It is unfortunate that this guest did not at least update their negative review and be 100% accurate. Upon check-in the guest insisted that they had not told about the additional charge for a pet when they made the reservation. We are pet friendly but additional charges are an industry standard and ours is $25. per day so they were...

I got here last night and made the decision, for the first time ever, to change hotels. But, now during the day, I almost wish I'd held off. Castle Creek is near a busy road and you can hear cars all night. It also has the feel of motorcourt motel, if you just see the hotel facilities: creepy, secluded parking... more
