Our group chose to stay at this hotel based on its proximity to another "conference" hotel located 5 blocks away, hoping to catch that hotel's bus to the LA convention center. We never did do that (i.e., walk the 5 blocks), due to the horrible neighborhood. The rooms were very worn, having filthy carpeting and stained wallpaper. I refused to... more
We stayed in this hotel after being dissapointed with other hotels in the Los Angeles area. It was reasonable and pretty clean considering the price. The area was not the best, however the people did not bother you and we were able to find parking spaces...barely. The breakfast was nice and room service provided enough towels for all of us.... more
The location is HORRID. My husband and I arrived thinking that this was going to be an okay hotel since it was a well-known name, and since it was recommended as part of a travel package through Expedia. However, as soon as we drove up we knew we were in for it. We found the very last parking spot in... more
I wouldn't recommend staying here. The rate was good, but not good enough. The area is questionable to say the least. When I arrived at my room, there were no pillows on the bed and no remote control. I called the front desk four times and never did get a remote. The room was shabby and the bathroom was not... more
I checked into this hotel after having spent a few nights at the Holiday Inn on Garland Avenue. This hotel is smaller and not that central but still within walking distance of downtown (10-15 mins). There is apparently a local bus service to the beaches and to Hollywood, however I'd recommend hiring a car if you want to have a... more
We stayed there from August 8-10. Our first night, we were dead tired from traveling and needed a soda. So, we went to the vending machines on all three floors to get what we needed. However, upon opening the Diet Coke and 2 Sprites (they were out of Coke) they were flat and tasted disgusting. The date on the sodas... more
I found the room clean and comfortable , The staff lacking in social skills and a most disturbing incedent at one thirty am when a security employee tried to enter the room with out any notification , when the front desk was called they said it was a mistake that he was to check empty rooms onlyI dident sleep well... more
We stayed here for one night and that was enough. The carpeting in the hallways were filthy dirty going to the room. Looks like they haven't been replaced in 20 years. I guess the room was ok and it was clean but in the morning the shower prussure was terrible. I might as well had my son pour some water... more
I have stayed at the Comfort Inn twice. The first time was alright, the second time the room was unacceptable and management didn't care. The location is close to downtown but the neighborhood is a little seedy. While there is plenty of parking you may have to push aside empty boxes of stolen merchandise if you have to park in... more
