Loved this place. I was a little wary when I first got there, however the staff, the cold drink and a snack while waited for my room helped a lot. Yes it is very dated. I reminded me of the 1950s. Once I got into my room I was pleasantly surprised. It was nicely furnished and exceptionally clean. Some of... more

We stayed here for 6 nights and loved every minute of it. The front desk staff made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was delicious and a fantastic start to the day. The bed was the most comfortable of any hotel in our one month US/Canada stay. We felt like it was a home away from home. Rooms were clean... more

We recently stayed at the Magic Castle over April vacation with our 2 kids (12 years old twins). It was great to have the suite so the kids had their own bed and tv and we had a king bed and tv in the other room. The room was a little outdated as others have said but very clean. The... more

Our family of 5 stayed at the Magic Castle Hotel for 4 nights in April. We were thoroughly delighted with our stay. The rooms were spacious and clean although not the most modern decor, but then we weren't visiting LA to critique hotel furniture! The staff go beyond fabulous. They are always friendly and helpful at all times. Our kids... more

We selected the Magic Castle after reviewing the trips on this site. It was more than we could have expected for a 3* hotel - one of the cheapest we could find! The staff could not have been more helpful. Lots of comlimentary extras like breakfast, drinks snaks, excellent toliteries, dvds, mints, a weather report posted under your door for... more

This is a great hotel, a real one off! We had a fab suite with living room, kitchen/diner and seperate bedroom and bathroom. The fixtures and fittings were a little dated, but we felt that added to the charm, and everything was immaculately clean. The staff were fantastic and happy to help with anything any time of day or night.... more

I planned a trip for myself and three girlfriends and wanted someplace within a reasonable distance of the Pantages theater (Wicked). Hollywood seems full of margin hotels at high prices but the Magic Castle is an excellent value for the price ($189). Our one bedroom suite had a queen sofa sleeper in the LR (comfortable) and a queen in the... more

After a bad night's stay in another hotel, we were thrilled with this hotel and constantly surprised. Every one of the staff was fun, friendly and helpful. The room was huge. Included a DVD player and free rentals. Smelled awful - be sure to ask for a non-smoking room. The beds were comfortable. TWO tvs. Parts of it were not... more

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights at the Magic Castle. Upon meeting the staff we knew we had a winner... they were very friendly. We were delighted to find out that we were upgraded to a suite at no extra charge. The pool was gorgeous, and we were offered help with our luggage but turned it down. We got... more

My family just got back from our week in California with the Magic Castle Hotel being the highlight! We were travelling with two adults and two teenage boys. Perfect, perfect! We spent three nights at the hotel after a couple of nights in Santa Barbara. The Magic Castle Hotel is within walking distance of Grauman's Chinese Theater which is a... more
