We have stayed here twice (once in 1998 and once in 2001) and will return. Gary and Lori are simply exceptional. Absolute quintessential Tahoe wintertime B&B. Stayed here in January+March 2007 and fell in love with this place. This places oozes character and Gary/Lori are so welcoming, you feel you are staying with family you actually like. Cute stone house right on the lake with a great common area that has high ceilings and a grand stone fireplace w/roaring fire. great... more

This little gem of a place we booked fairly last minute, but were lucky to do so as a lot of their guests unsurprisingly keep coming back and book well in advance. It's a beautiful stone house on the shores of lake tahoe with their own pier which guests are welcome to use and they even provide big fluffy towels... more

I highly recommend a stay at the Chaney House on your next visit to Lake Tahoe. The stone house is stunning and the rooms lovely. The innkeepers are very warm & friendly and sunning on their private dock is a must if you are visiting before the snows come. more
