I stayed here one night, and had no serious issues. The staff is very nice, which was a good start. But the motel (and it really is a motel) is aged. The room was clean, but smelled pretty strong of cleaning solution. If passing through it is fine for a night. If I had to be in town for more... more

The price was right, the location is convenient (though surrounded by chains--not a unique Boulder feel), and the staff couldn't have been nicer. However, the plumbing had some major problems--the first day, showers as hot as lava, the second day, cold, and the third day alternating between lava and cold. The "suite" was super-clean, if a little worn around the... more

Exactly like the last reviewer put it. The room was spacious, there was a nice double vanity, a decent sized, clean bathroom, enough room to spread out a bit. The staff was friendly and there were plenty of places to eat within walking distance. We only stayed one night, but we'd go back for an extended stay if we find... more

We were very happy with the Best Western Golden Buff! The price was great, around $100/night for 2 queens. We enjoyed our stay more than the previous night next door at the Millenium Harvest House, which was almost double the price! The rooms were spacious, included a fridge, and had a double vanity with a separate room for shower and... more

After perusing Boulder hotel rates (which seemed rather high), we chose the Golden Buff Lodge for an overnight stay. It's right on 28th Street, the local section of U.S. 36, so driving up from Denver was easy and the motel was a cinch to find. Kids were happily splashing in the outdoor pool when we arrived, and we were able... more

Stayed one nite in the Golden Buff. It is an older styled hotel with exterior halls. The hotel is dated, but seemed to have been recently renovated. The tub and bathroom looked new. The beds were a bit on the lumpy side, but overall, for the price and the location it is a great deal. Hotel is located near (couple... more

The motel is nothing special, very old but well maintained. The front desk was helpful & charming, especially by comparison to the previous night at the Holiday Inn in Estes Park. Breakfast was average, much better than the heavily advertised rolls at Brand X. The Pearl Street Mall is not far & Boulder is a great place. Eat at Sherpa's.... more

The Best Western Golden Buff Lodge is on 28th Street and is well located for shopping. Just a block down the street is a retail park with a variety of stores and restaurants. Across the street is the 29th shopping area with more stores but the best night life is about 20 minutes walk away down Pearl Street. The area... more

The Golden Buff is a motor hotel in the spirit of the glory days in walk up overnighting. The hotel has been in Boulder as long as I can remember, and this trip gave me a chance to check it out. Staying here means easy access to the Pearl Street Mall (10 blocks west - driving or transit recommended), the... more
