We stayed here BEFORE ski season started, so they were doing lots of work to get things ready. We got a great deal on the hotel, but of course the trade off is that there was some work being done--no big deal. I stayed at the Marriott the second week of December. I was lucky enough to get a one bedroom on the 7th (top) floor corner unit facing Peak 9. This resort was extremely clean and comfortable. Marriotts Mountain Valley Lodge is a wonderful place nestled in the beautiful mountians of Colorado. The room was very clean and the beds were awesome. Not sure what kind of matteress but it was very comfortable. The exercise room was roomey and functional. The pool was heated but we didn't use it. We plan on visiting there again. more
