The staff was very friendly and professional. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, easily accessible from I-95 and the Fort Lauderdale airport. It is also a great hotel for family reunions. more

My daughter and I were travelling to Key West and used this hotel for the night. The night desk person was very nice and helpful since we got in late and needed to get something to eat before we turned in. We heard the trains all night but there were no other problems. We were on the 3rd floor. I... more

If you want to be safe, clean and have things work don't go here! We were on the 5th floor and on our floor and the fourth floor there were locals who partied and played loud music all night and even tried kicking in one of our traveling companions door (thank God for the inner door lock). Just getting ice... more

Located beside a train track and very busy highway. A lot of traffic, sirens and train noise at all hours. It is a "motel" with all rooms opening to outdoors. Shower water did not adjust well. Very hard mattress on bed. TV remote did not work (black tape to hold battery in). Decent bar food in the "sports bar" restaurant.... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel as an overnight before a cruise that was departing from Fort Lauderdale. Sadly, the service through which we booked the hotel characterized this as a 3 star hotel. It is not that. It was closer to 1 and a half stars, if that. Check in was tedious and slow. There was a... more

This hotel is okay for a night or two or if you are familiar with the area. The hotel itself was very beautiful but we had serious safety concerns. One of the men in our party was approached twice by a prostitute! and they rent out rooms to locals by the week/month. Some of the people hanging around were a... more

I stayed at the Elpalacio Hotel for our family reunion. The hotel was a mid range hotel at a good price. I had a hotel room but some had suites that were really nice with a livingroom to get together. We had our banquet too. Food was great! They gave us an early check-in which was nice after a long... more

We stayed for 2 nights before our cruise out of Port Everglades. This was a very nice hotel. Very clean and the staff was very helpful, as we had 4 people in one room. They were pleasant and brought up extra towels. We had an interior room overlooking the pool. There was a train that went by but it was... more

Why doesn't the description of the hotel tell you that there is a train that runs directly behind it all times of the night? My husband counted 18 by the time we woke up the next morning. Not only that, why didn't they have any hot water and Marie or Mary, the person at the front desk could have cared... more

Management response from
rolstone, manager

I am writing in response to the above review. There are several Hotels that are next to the train tracks running along I -95, none of which post the railroad tracks in their description of the Hotel. The notation that the train runs past the Hotel 18 time each night is exagerated. We have very few complaints regarding the train....
