Been to FL many times....never had a better experience!! Hospitality was great. The Tiki Bar was a great place to relax and have a beverage. Rooms were clean. The Walk About was everything I was looking for in a vacation. Once we parked the car, we never had to drive anywhere else the entire time we stayed. I loved this place. It is immaculate and the staff is so polite and helsul. The Tiki Bar is a bit like "Old Florida" and is so charming. It is right on the Broad Walk just steps from the beach. Beautiful old motel...being renavated....hardwood floors ,kitchen, big bedroom....windows overlooking boardwalk & ocean. Sat & sun night entertainment. You can see all the excitement from your room or go to the tiki bar and join in. Very ,very nice. more

The Walkabout is a great little hotel, and a great value. The building has a lot of soul (classic 1950's Florida architecture) and some interesting history (Jimmy Hoffa invested to build it, according to the owner).
