My husband and I just returned from our Honeymoon at Elizabeth Pointe. We stayed in the Ocean House and loved it. It was quiet and private and very clean. The room was decorated beautifully. The breakfasts were really good and after breakfast chairs and umbrellas were already set up for guests of the inn. The staff was very very friendly... more

From the moment the unique "Martha's Vineyard" style Inn came into view, I knew we were in for a treat. We planned this last minute 4th of July getaway and couldn't have been more pleased. We didn't stay in the main house, but in the adjacent Ocean House (Hybiscus Room) and were awed by the decor - not cheesy beachy... more

The Elizabeth Pointe Lodge is described as “one of the 12 Best Waterfront Inns” in America by The Road Best Traveled, a consumer travel publication, on their web site. That seemed like strong praise. We booked our room thinking it was rather pricey and not sure it would really be worth the money. After our weekend stay, however, we came... more

My wife and I decided to go on a weekend getaway to Amelia Island. We only live an hour away (Jacksonville) but it still felt like a relaxing getaway. Amelia Island definitely has that sleepy, beach town feel. As for the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge, I think they did a terrific job. The grounds are kept very clean, and the building... more

I had booked a room at another property on-line 3 months ago and found it to be most unacceptable (see my other review). We decided to drive up and down A1A to see if there might be a room available elsewhere. As soon as my wife saw the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge, she was impressed. We figured there would be little... more

My husband and I spent three nights at the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge, and everything good that was written in other reviews was absolutely true: the hotel is right on the beach, the service is top-notch (every single staff member was friendly and helpful), the food is fantastic, and the rooms are very comfortable. It's obviously run very well and no... more

Once again, TA had it right. It's hard to imagine a better pick for a short stay on Amelia Island. Even though the sun provided no warmth during our one-night stay, the inn made up for it. We intended to spend two nights, but we had to drag our son along (almost literally) because he got sick hours before he... more

My husband and I escaped to the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge for 2 nights without our toddlers!....it was heavenly! In order to accomodate some other guests in the main building they had upgraded us for free to the Ocean House-The Breezes room. What a special treat for us! It was wonderful-nice room, immaculate, beautiful bath with jacuzzi tub, shaded porch and... more

If you're looking for a lovely, quiet place on the beach with impeccable service, Elizabeth Pointe Lodge is for you. More like a small hotel (20 rooms) than a B&B, the Lodge is located directly on the beach. Just a five minute bike ride takes you to the historic town of Fernandina Beach, with it's beautiful assortmant of historic homes... more

My husband and I stayed at Elizabeth Pointe Lodge the last week of September, 2007. The hotel was very nice, the staff accommodating, rooms well appointed. I spent much of my time at the hotel on the back porch overlooking the beach, listening to the waves and sipping lemonade. It was very relaxing, but there were a few problems. First... more
