My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Lookout Lodge when we were in the Keys recently for my high school reunion. In just moments I felt like I was home again. I slipped right back into "Conch" time - utterly relaxed, soothed by the sea breeze... It's not a glitzy place; there are plenty of places to stay that... more

This is the 2nd time my husband and I have driven down to the Keys on the spur of the moment. We brought 2 travel agent friends of mine. We lucked out and the 2 day minimum was waived, the front desk clerk remembered us and upgraded us to a 2 bedroom apt, above the office, gulf front. As we... more

This "resort" is more like a motel. The rooms are shabby and the parking is horrible. The guy who runs the place is rude and pretentious. The only positive of staying here was the awesome restaurant Marker 88 next door. Next time we'll stay somewhere else and just go to Marker 88 for the sunsets. more

Having stayed at Holiday Isle in the past we wanted no more of that 20-something, filthy, dive so I searched out reviews for comparable places nearby. I found Lookout Lodge and was (am) very happy we did. Yes, it's not far off highway 1 but I got news for ya, the key is a 1/4 mile wide so maybe 2... more

We stayed here for four nights and used it as a base for doing stuff in the Keys. We based our choice on the ratings in TripAdvisor and were very dissappointed. This is not really a resort. it is just a small motel with a few amenities. It is flush against the Overseas Highway and you can hear the traffic... more

This is a wonderful place to get away from the hassle and hustle of everyday life. The staff is exceptional, the place itself is tidy, clean, and neat, but still very comfortable -- as a favorite pair of slippers. If glitz, pool sharks, and commercial night life are what you seek, this is not the place to find it. If,... more

My husband and I stayed at the Lookout Lodge last November for our first visit to the Keys. We were very happy with the staff and with our room. Also, we were able to bring our Yorkshire Terrier and all the staff were very accomodating of him. The manager even told us places to visit and restaurants where he would... more

We just returned from our first visit to the Keys, and we ended our stay with two nights at the Lookout Lodge. We had driven past the property on our way to Key West (it's right off the main highway through the keys), and were apprehensive about staying there, but we had a nice stay. The property isn't much to... more

A small, quiet, clean resort. The property grounds are well maintained, and the friendly staff, from housekeeping to Greg at the counter , made you feel welcome. We travel to the Keys 3 or 4 times a year , this was our most relaxing trip. Oh yes, GREAT SUNSETS more

we drove to the Florida Keys from Redington beacb on Florida's west coast and stopped at a tourist information centre where we picked up hotel information and this was the first place we tried. It is a small and beautiful sea front motel, therre were only 2 of us and the manager let us have a 2 bed apartment for... more
