My wife and I stayed at the Circa 39 for two nights in June. Circa 39 is OK. The rooms are clean, but very small and very plain. The location is not great. It is beach close, but a long walk, over 20 mins, to Ocean Blvd. in South Beach. The pool was nice, but right on a busy road.... more

My husband and I stayed at Circa 39 for 2 days at the beginning of June. The hotel foyer and pool area were lovely but when we were shown our room I was very dissapointed it was very dark and dingy. The washbasin had a crack in it and there was a broken window which had a cover over it.... more

Circa39 exceeded my expectations for the price range. Staff was extremely helpful with all my requests, room was prestine white and very clean, and the pool was very relaxing. I can't wait to go back! Far better than most much more expensive hotels in the area!! more

To be honest this is the most expensive hostel I have paid for. Hotwire advertises this as 3.5 stars which is definitively no the case. Dont get me wrong.. I had no problems with Circa39. They were friendly, unobtrusive and helpful. There were some burned out bulbs, lamps without working switches and a wonky shelf in my bathroom that things kept sliding off, but these are all things I could deal with.
