I was really excited to stay here. We stayed 2 nights at concierge level in the main building (Royal Palm Club). The room was nice, but showed a lot of wear. Lots of nicks and gashes on the bathroom vanity, the walls and closet doors. Some worn patches on the carpet. The dimmer/fan in the bathroom was worn and old... more

Oddly, a "suite" with a rate of nearly $1,000 per night is what any other hotel or resort would call a standard room. Approximately 400 square feet with a single king bed, no work area or living quarters existed; a modestly decorated room with light bulbs actually missing were the traits of a Grand Floridian suite. The Grand Floridian boasts... more

We have been staying at this resort for the past 15+ years and love it more each year. Beautiful flagship resort with great service. The conceierge/club level service is highly recommended. In general the service at this resort is significantly better than other resorts on Disney property. As always the grounds and lobby are stunning. I highly recommend visiting this... more

I took my son (20) and nephew (13) to the Grand Floridian and stayed for 12 days. The location to the disney attractions via a hired car was excellent and took no more than 10-15 mins to get anywhere we wanted. The hotel is stunning to look at and as clean as the day it was built. From the moment... more

This is without doubt the best hotel I have ever stayed in to date. I was hesitant to stay at a Disney resort at first because although Disney do what they do very well, I am not a great lover of the Mickey Mouse ears and cheesey smiles, not at breakfast anyway. I need not have worried beacuse this stunning... more

The hotel rooms are not thoroughly cleaned. The room fittings/furnishings are worn/show excessive age. The electronic door keys have known problems (extraordinarily inconveniencing after a day at park) - It defeats convenience of a quick return from the park to your room. No sound proofing between rooms. Only basic channel options for the television, the internet is slow, costs extra... more

I was a little concerned that this hotel was going to be a bit of a disappointment. I was completely wrong. My family and I (husband and two kids ages 4 and 6) really loved everything about this hotel and I think that although expensive, it really is very similar to staying in a high end chain like a Ritz-Carlton.... more

We visit Orlando approximately every two years and have wanted to try this resort, and we were not disappointed. We were booked with a convention rate and were to receive a standard room, but had a lagoon room view in the Big Pine Key building. The room was not very large, but was clean and comfortable with a small balcony... more

On location alone, the Grand Floridian inside Walt Disney World is a must-stay. There is an onsite bus stop, monorail stop and boat dock which will let you get back and forth to the parks in minutes. The amenities are world-class: two large pools complete with full-bars, a true onsite gym/spa, some great restaurants and a beach of sorts. The... more

We loved it here. Ignore previous reviews. My daughter was called "Princess" by every staff member. There was PLENTY of Disney for kids here. We had dinner with Cinderella, Drizella, Anastasia, Lady Tremaine and Prince Charming. Beauty and the Beast playing in the lobby. Breakfast with Pooh and Tigger. I didn't see one kid cry with the Mad Hatter. My... more
