As we have done every May for the last 18 years, and will every year in the foreseeable future, we camped in our pop-up camper at Fort Wilderness. It just doesn't get any better than this! Be sure to rent a golf cart as the grounds are vast and it is the best way to get around. Sometimes we don't... more

We decided to try the cabins since my husband had such fond memories while staying at the Fort in his family’s trailer years ago. We hope we’ve given our kids the kind of lasting memories that he had. We’d stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in December and offsite in January. This was our favorite place of them all. It’s... more

Our family of 5 just returned from staying at the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground at WDW. The cabins are self-contained, fridge, stove with oven and sleeping accomodations for 6. We enjoyed going back to our cabin after a long exhausting day and resting for the next day. The pluses were that we were able to eat our breakfast in... more

This was our first family vacation to Disney and I wanted it to be special. We did not have a lot of money but wanted something on property so I paid a little extra money to stay at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. It cost a little extra, but I thought well we can eat in the cabin and save money... more

My family and another family go to Disneyworld every other year. We normally stay at a Disney resort, but since we're both camping families we decided to try Fort Wilderness this time. The trip down & back was a long one, but we saved so much by staying at the campground that it more than made up for the gas... more

The family consisted of 2 adults, 1 with MS, 1 Senior and 2 kids 11 and 8. We stayed April 9th to 16th at Cabin 2501, next to the pool and laundry. Magical express-ground level B side, easy to find. 10 minute wait for the bus, 10 minute wait on the bus, and 40 minute ride to our hotel, we... more

Well, after reading so many positive reviews - I thought spending the extra bucks on a cabin here would be a great thing to do. Especially since I'm not a real Disney fan - it would be a retreat where I could relax if I didn't feel like going to one of the parks. Do not trust AAA trip tik... more

We just returned from the wilderness lodge cabin, We have a 2 year old and it was truly and aweson experience, I love that you take a boat to disney, no need to wait for monorail or tram rides, Most important is to rent a golf cart, if you don't you'll be sorry the place is huge. Reserve it as... more

We stayed in a Fort Wilderness cabin from March 18 to March 24, 2008. We loved it! I initially chose it, because it was the only relatively affordable onsite option that could accommodate our family of three teenagers and two adults. We wanted to have a kitchenette, because being able to make at least one meal and snacks in our... more

This place was OK, I can honestly say it was nothing to ruin my trip. However I am a patient and open minded person, if you are not you shouldn't stay here you should stay somewhere more luxurious. It was not worth the money!! We could have stayed some where much nicer for the same price. Check in was very... more
