Do not stay here. Was here Feb 2008. Rooms are dirty and horribly decorated. Old. Not remodeled at all. It is a nice location on the water but do not let that fool you. Moldy smelly mildew. The room I was given was damp, moldy, smelly, dirty, the phone had decades on grime on it, cigarette burns everywhere, and (I'm not kidding) the toilet was literally backed up when I entered the room! ... Got a remodelled unit viewing the water. Ask for a redone unit or get a discount. This hotel is in Northern Sarasota/Southern Bradenton, only several miles down Tamiami Trail to downtown Sarasota. I've stayed there twice - Summer 2006 and 2007. The hotel is in the midst of updating their rooms. In 2006 I had an older room. It was average, but clean.
