The Amafli was a pretty hassle-free stay. The location was great, lots of nice restaurants nearby. The rooms were comfortable, soft bed, lots of pillows. Aveda products (shampoo, contitioner, bar and liquid bosdy soap). The towels were pretty rough, though. Magazines were laid out on the desk and changed weekly. The day before checkout we found that the alarm clock... more
I just recently stayed at the Amalfi Hotel in Chicago for a short personal/business trip. My boyfriend and I stayed there the weekend before I had a conference for work and then I stayed 3 days there by myself. My boyfriend and I both agreed one really good thing about this hotel is that it is in a really good... more
We stayed in Amalfi Hotel between 20-25.April. The room was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. The hotel's location is very close to nice restaurants: my favorites are Shaw's Crabhouse for fresh seafood, Frontera Grill for Mexican and Weber Grill for a delicious BBQ... The only thing that I didn't like is the breakfast buffet,... more
This hotel is a great location in Downtown Chicago! Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Very clean and sleek property; nice Europeon style to it! I would definately recommend it! Enjoy! more
Several Trip Advisor reviews indicated that the Amalfi was terrific. They were right. I arrived at the hotel before 10 a.m. and the friendly staff let me check in right away! The rooms are spacious & pristine, and the thermostat works and is idiot-proof. If you want, pull the blackout curtains to ensure that it stays dark, dark, dark in... more
We arrived mid-morning and planned to leave our luggage until check-in. We were very pleased to be greeted with the news that "our room was ready". This was unexpected and truly appreciated as we could freshen up and have a coffee before heading out. The room was nicely decorated. The Ford Theatre was an easy walk and the evening reception... more
I travel frequently on business (both domestically and internationally) and was looking forward to our five-night stay here. Good points: The hotel is in a prime location, just two blocks from the Mag Mile. You're in walking distance (within 2-3 blocks) of several excellent restaurants. The rooms are very clean. And the continental breakfast on each floor is nice (not... more
I really liked the feel of this place. It was quite the opposite of the corporate soulless megahotel: you got the sense of someone having thought all the details through very carefully. I liked particularly the lack of the mean-spiritedness one quite often finds in large US hotels: there's no feeling that the whole hotel experience has been crafted to... more
Tiny lobby, a few blocks from the "nicer" part of downtown, but still a good location, nice rooms. more
