The Zuber Homestead Hotel is in an old building which the owners restored lovingly. I am a little suspicious of hotels that call themselves historic or whatever, often codewords for cheesy rooms in an old structure, cramped space, and so on...which I suspect has given the Marriots and Holiday Inn Expresses aand their cousins a real boost over the years.... more
