We stayed a couple of nights at the Gratz. It's not cheap, but it's a nice place. The rooms are comfortable, and the location is as close to perfect as possible--right in the middle of things. Many good restaurants are only minutes away on foot. Parking was also easy. No refrigerator in the room, just ice (though we managed to... more

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Gratz Park Inn. The Gratz Park inn is located in a tranquil, serene setting in the Gratz Park area of Lexington. The hotel is located steps away from Transylvania University and the District and Circuit Court houses. The red brick main entrance/courtyard area is very nice neatly surrounded by... more

Wonderful historic hotel in downtown Lexington. You don't want to miss this place. Best customer service, the minute we walked in the door! The rooms were classic and decorated to perfectly. The charm and character was just ooozing out of every corner. The location of the hotel is also perfect. You can walk to downtown bars and restaurants and enjoy... more

Spent a weekend there. Everything was very comfortable, though the queen room is a bit small. There are several good restaurants in easy walking distance. more

Very old and pricey for what you get. Restaurant isn't affiliated w/ hotel so you have to deal w/them seperately if you want roomservice. They stop serving breakfast at 9:30 am. Several people in our group had issues with the hotel losing our reservations. No one at the hotel can recommend restaurants or other tourist attractions which obviously means they... more

This was our second trip to the hotel and I have to admit, I was a little dissapointed. The hotel was shabbier than we remembered. The tempurpedic mattressed are really nice, but the room was kind of dirty and not well cared for. They little extras just weren't there like we remembered. Last time we visited, there were warm chocolate... more

I was assigned a non smoking room when I called to make my reservation. However, when I arrived it was noted that I had requested a smoking room. A correction was made and I was given a non-smoking room. The door knob to my room (#302) hung loosely from the door as if it were about to hit the floor.... more

We enjoyed our getaway so much when we visited in August we returned for another weekend six weeks later. We were assigned to a room that was not ready and were quickly given another VIP king suite. Everything was beautiful, clean and in good working order. Located near the corner at street level and across the hall from the restaurant... more

I didn't think anyone at the Gratz was snotty -- everyone I met was perfectly charming. This hotel is a good pick for people who prefer character and historic charm to corporate soulessness. The rooms are very comfortable and well-appointed. I wasn't at all impressed with the brunch -- not worth the money. I'd absolutely stay here again. more

The Inn is attractive, but the reservations staff and staff on-site is a little too impressed with themselves. Lexington has always had the reputation of snobbery and they do it extemely well at the Gratz Park. I'd stay at the Marriott Griffin Gate, you can get luxury and kindness. more
