I had a reservation at this hotel through an organization that I belong to. We were having a meeting here. I arrived with my wife and small child and checked in. I was very worried after reading the reviews on here. The reviews accurately describe this horrible hotel. Our hall reeked of mold and cigarettes (we had a non smoking... more

My husband and I were booked to stay at The Best Western Acadiana for one night as part of a touring holiday of the southern states. We arrived at the hotel after a long journey, the reception staff were unhelpful. When we got to our floor (4th) there was a very musty, damp smell and the room was no better,... more

I have traveled all over the world and this place is horrible. They have a well kept, freshly painted lobby to intice you into getting a room, but as other reviews explain it is not worth it. Visible mold and roaches are abundant, the floor plans still use the old 2 way door ajoined rooms (With the lock broken, nice)... more

When you first enter the lobby you would believe this is a recently renovated hotel- however that is un-true. The lay out of the hotel is based around the swimming pool- however it seems a bit confusing on which elevator to take to your room. Once you do get to your room you are not going to want to spend... more

This place has MAJOR issues! We were there for four nights and what an adventure... The BLACK mold was fantastic, this is the mold that is likely very toxic. We are looking into who in the state deals with internal air quality. The "Free WiFi" was slower than dial up and the last two days we could not connect as... more

I travel to Lafayette on a regular basis and have stayed at several of the hotels in the area. I thought I'd try out the Best Western Hotel Acadiana because I got an excellent rate. Yes, it is an older hotel, but for the money it was a great value! The lobby is very nice and appears to have been... more

Visited Lafayette the weekend before Mardi Gras 2/9/07. Room 659. After a long drive from Dallas we arrived at the hotel at 12.30am. The front desk person did not inform us that the guestroom phones were not working. The guest in 661 had left his door open and TV on. He was passed out in bed from what I assume... more

I am a very frequent traveler, used to be a flight attendant and have stayed in hotels all over the world. Some of them have been a little rough, some of them have been incredibly luxurious. I've been coming to Lafayette every fall for the past 11 years and have stayed in many hotels in town, including the BW Hotel... more

We have just returned from our once every few years vacation!! Our stay lasted from July 5th-8th. And one of the things that weI look forward to is the hotels pool.. After our first nite and not being able to locate it we asked at the front desk. We were handed a copy of the first floor!! Then when we... more

I stayed at the Hotel Acadiana in June 2006. While, as stated in other reviews, the rooms are large, they smelled musty and mildewed. My reservation was for a room with two double beds but I was given a handicapped room with one double bed and only a shower. The shower leaked all over the floor. The ice machine on... more
