While the room I stayed in was nicely priced at $84, it left a lot to be desired. It was non-smoking but still smelled like many smokers had been through before. The air conditioning consisted of a rickety window unit that was facing the interior hallway, which meant fresh air was not an option, so there was no choice but... more

Two adult couples shared a 3rd floor suite consisting on a master bedroom with king bed, bath with shower and living area featuring small kitchen and living room with sofa bed, fireplace, etc. Both areas had new flat screen tv sets and individual thermostats. We found the unit to be quiet and comfortable. The view was nice, although over the... more

We stayed at the Trade Winds during the first week of October. I realize it's the end of the "tourist season", but there is still no excuse for the filthy conditions we endured. The floor was so disgusting that we actually felt compelled to wear socks which we have never, ever done previously in our travels world wide. We were... more

My husband and I stayed at the Tradewinds for the first night of a four-day getaway on our 25th wedding anniversary. I had read the reviews on this site, and was dismayed, but was reassured by the manager that our room would be satisfactory. And satisfactory it was - it was downirght excellent! We had a great view of the... more

A bunch of us stayed because of a Softball Tournament that was in town for the weekend. Our rooms were not clean at all. Toothpaste on the wall and the rugs had not been vacuumed at all. We stayed and ate at their restaurant the first night and the meals were mixed up, and things were charged on our bill... more

We stayed at the Trade Winds Motor Inn on August 24, 2007. We had 2 rooms as we had my step-son (17) with us. Our room was on the third floor with an ocean view, and his was on the second floor, directly below ours. The Inn is across from the Lighthouse museum and on the marina and sits back... more

The only thing positive that you can say about this hotel is that the location is great. The mattresses were awful and it looked like the floors had not been vacuumed in years. The hotel is being converted into a time share so they are not putting any money into the hotel until they start converting the rooms. We did... more

Whenever I plan a trip to the coast of Maine this is the first place I call. Located right outside of Camden and in the heart of Rockland, they offer everything I need to enjoy my trip. Their prices are great for the ocean view rooms you can enjoy. Offering an indoor swimming pool and excercise room, dual queen size... more

I was at the Trade Winds from 6-8-07 to 6-10-07 and while i'll agree it had some issues overall I was extremely pleased with my stay here. We were in town for a NELL (New England Lighthouse Lovers Weekend trip. The place was full of other lightouse wackos as well. I heard no complaints about the facility from anybody. We... more

My fiance and I stayed here recently when we traveled to Maine to finalize our destination wedding plans. The website photos and description of this place are complety inaccurate. The room was like something from bad trucker horror film. We are so thankful that we got there late and only had to stay in the room for a few hours.... more
