For us, Pleasant Bay Village continues to be the perfect Cape Cod summer experience. We started our association with this little resort in 1991 when the two of us spent four nights there. As the summers passed, we lengthened our stay and added family members and now, in July 2008, we have just concluded a week's stay at PBV, with... more

The Pleasant Bay Village lived up to the hype. We stayed in a 2 bedroom which had a big lounge, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and dining area, a raised deck and our own patio/barbecue area, as well as a front garden! Set in the most wonderful gardens it was a mixture of chilled out cabin in the woods and a... more

Other reviewers were right about the damp, musty smell in the room. A pity, because everything else was excellent. And in particular the owners and staff were all friendly, accomodating and helpful. Easy-access computers and good self-laundry facilities. Pool pleasantly uncrowded. Good restaurant recommendations. A delightful place to stay and good value. more

We just returned from a four night stay at Pleasant Bay Village Resort. We booked there because of reviews we had read on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed!! We went with our son and his two very young children and were in the two bedroom, 2 bath unit. The place is truly magnificently landscaped - I wanted to bring... more

We decided to stay at Pleasant Bay Village after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, and we were not disappointed. The location is less than a 5 minute drive to Chatham center. The staff are very friendly and accomodating and really put their heart and souls into the Village. The site itself is very charming, nicely decorated with beautiful grounds. Although... more

The pros: very clean, nice bathroom, comfy bed, charming gardens and pool area. Really above average...for a motel. The cons: musty smell (lingered in any clothes left on upholstered furnishings), busy street, not within walking distance to any shops or dining, no view. more

When I arrived at Pleasant Bay Village, I had no idea that it was such special and truly unique property. I was greeted by the lovable staff such as Bear (the black Newfoundland Dog) as well as the family who runs the resort. My family was ecstatic apon arrival and even though we are on Nantucket for the next week,... more

For years I have been wanting to visit the cape and a close friend recommended Chatham. She regularly visits an inn located right in the village and originally that is where we planned to stay as well. After doing some research I came across PBV and once I saw the option of an efficiency sweet with a kitchen I knew... more

My husband and I are rcently back home from 4 nights at Plesant Bay village. We stayed in an efficiency unit and found the room, kitchenette and bath very nice. The grounds are kept immaculately and the interesting plantings, well-kept pond and waterfall all add to the relaxing experience. We would plan another stay at PBV when we return to... more

Wow. This place is charming, classic, quiet, friendly and beautiful. Stayed in a "deluxe" room but it was beyond expectation. For starters there was a willow tree (among other foliage) right outside our door and the lovely branches framed the doorway. The buildings are all classic weathered cedar shake with pitched roofs and colonial windows. Our room had a comfortable... more
