I’ve never stayed at a motel with a better location! Look out the front door to the boat harbor, or sit on your back patio 10 steps from the ocean! Listen to the waves rolling as they put you to sleep. Don’t depend on the wifi- it’s useless. Kitchenette was a disappointment - I missed not having a microwave, which... more

The Tides is Great. A beautiful location on the Falmouth Harbor with a fantastic beach and fantastic view of the Atlantic with Martha's Vineyard on the horizen. There's a row of boulders you can walk out on to sit at a point that's a wonderful place to be. The accommodations are definitely adequate but I found the staff to be... more

Room was very clean, faced the ocean, and had a kitchenette. It also had an out-dated feel, a deck that went to every room on the second floor and plastic covered mattress and pillows. Flame resistant blankets added to over-all feel. We had a hard time sleeping because of the plastic, and was really the only huge draw back. It... more

As far as I can tell, there are two main reasons (besides being reasonable for the Cape) to stay at the Tides: 1. It is right on the water, with beautiful views and sea breezes coming right in the rooms 2. It is a minute away from the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Aside from this, be aware of the following... more

My family and I have been coming to the tides for over 30 yrs. We had such a great time with Mr. Mullin (the father). He was such a great man with a big heart..RIP. The family and staff are phenomenal! They will help you find the perfect places to eat, visit, and make you feel right at home. Tides... more

I stayed here because of the positive reviews on Tripadvisor, so I guess I need to balance them out. I booked a room over the phone with the expressed plan to see how it goes the first night. When my daughter and I arrived on Friday night, we were told (for the first time) that we needed to book a... more

Just stayed at the Tides for the first time and had a wonderful time! Loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing againest the shore. Look forward to going back. ~Cheryl Wellesley more

This is our favorite place to stay in Falmouth. Nothing can beat the view or the relaxing sound of the waves through the open window day or night. The beach is right at your feet, literally. private beach, cozy rooms and no phone...heaven. We love it so much we became engaged here and four years later we are returning for... more

My wife and I stayed at this property one night Memorial day weekend. Not bad considering the price $130 incl. taxes. Would not pay much more. Very good location in falmouth. Right on ocean and less than 1 mile from main street and it's shops and dining options. Must go to Liam Maquires Irish Pub. Good food, good service, great... more
