The inn just installed a new central air system. The only problem is that all rooms are controlled by a central thermostat, not accessible to guests. My room was so cool that I had to call the innkeepper late one night to turn down down the frigidity. The good news is that the staff recognizes the problem. I trust they... more

We stayed for one night on our way to Boston. Our room was quite adequate and the staff that we encountered were very polite and knowledgeable. We have no real complaints other than the fact that it is a bit on the pricey side - for what you get. Nonetheless, the location and the inn itself are lovely and if... more

If you're looking for a place that will treat you terribly then this is the place. Bob Chok is the Innkeeper and sets a horrible example to his staff of what hospitality should be. He is just a rude, inhospitable man who should probably be working in the kitchen by himself rather than guests. There are so many beautiful places... more

This review appears to be a personal attack on me rather than a review of the inn. I have been an innkeper for 18 years and would not be in this profession if I were rude and inhospitable as claimed by the reviewer. The reviewer states the date of their stay as March 2008 however, the inn was closed for...

This Inn is listed through BNBFinder.com -- a wonderful service that we'd recommend to anyone. We called the Inn at Castle Hill to book a room, and we planned on using a BNBFinder gift certificate. The Inn Keeper was gruff, rude, and informed us that they have no relationship with BNBFinder -- a surprise since their icon was on the... more

We stayed for 1 night in the 3rd floor Florence room and had a great stay. The charming room was clean, with a comfy queen bed and nice view from 2 bay windows of the marsh and ocean in the distance. Not much furniture beside the bed, nighttables and large window seats. The bathroom was modern, clean, pleanty of towels... more

It's hard to understand the last few reviews. This place was fabulous. Granted, the end of August is past the biting fly season, but there were no bugs at all. I probably wouldn't have been as happy if it were raining, but we booked a room at the last minute when we knew the weather forecast. We stayed in the... more

Pros: clean Cons: employees are high school kids snobbish staff over priced insect infested very few amenities breakfast is a joke We were very disappointed and will never return. I think the management needs to visit other high end properties to see what "upscale" means. more

The Inn at Castle Hill is a quiet and pleasant retreat, but not truly luxurious. One pet peeve is the breakfasts. A continental breakfast is included and consists of a miniscule fruit plate, a single muffin, juice, coffee and granola, all parceled out at a very slow pace by inexperienced high school girls. A small hot breakfast is available for... more

I have to agree with the last review. The property is nice but too modern for it's history. Although a nice Inn, it's missing the charm and amentites that would entice me to go back. I expected a takeoff of the website which tells you about the history of the property and has some beautiful old photos. Amenities you would... more

Well, the Inn is very nice as all the other reviews state but it's misses the mark. First, the rates are high for the amenities offered. For $400 a night I would expect a full breakfast but all they offer is continental. You can have a ful breakfast for an additional fee that averages $10 per person. At $400 a... more
