Rooms and furniture were old and could have used better maintenance. Winter heating is a bit noisy and uneven. Hallways were dank and musty-smelling. Convenience was excellent. Other affordable lodging available in Hadley, but you'll get stuck in the Coolidge Bridge traffic going back to Northampton. I managed a small discount from AMEX and was a little disappointed in the... more

Because of reviews we'd read we were a little worried, but we ended up very happy. We stayed 2 nights. The room was big, clean, quiet with no unpleasant odors and the bed was very comfortable. It was a great location close to town center & great restauraunts. The exterior looked much better than the photos & the indoor pool... more

Thank you to all whom have enjoyed our hotel we hope you all return soon. We have made some minor changes to our restaurant and have listened to many of your comments. Montana's Steakhouse is now Montana's Tavern offering a lighter menu. Our customer's requested more casual dinning and we listened. The menu and the prices are a bit more...

Very impressed with the hotel, one of the nicest we booked via Priceline. Quite a long walk from reception to our room but no problems with room. Pool was a bit chilly. The Sierra Grille restaurant in the town centre serves excellent food at a reasonable price. more

When I ended up with this hotel through a Priceline bid, I was really apprehensive, given some reviews I had read. We stayed for three nights, a nice room with 2 queen beds, fronting on the indoor pool, with all upgraded amenities. The configuration of the hotel is a bit strange, but it is an easy walk inside to the... more

I can't believe we stayed in the same place as the other reviewers!! Room was clean and comfortable; couldn't have been nicer. Didn't use the pool, but it looked beautiful. After nine years of college related trips, we spent a weekend here and it was the best experience we've had. (We've stayed in the NoHo area Best Westerns, HoJo, Hampton... more

Had to travel to Amherst on a last-minute family emergency and this was the only hotel within reasonable distance that my cousin was able to find with a room available, literally, as the place was packed. As most other posters have mentioned, the hotel needs serious, serious updating. I stayed in the lower C level which felt a little like... more

This hotel is needing some serious renovations and upgrading. I grew up in the area and remember when it was a Hilton and was a vibrant, nice place to stay. Now it looks like it is stuck in the 70's. The rooms are very run down and although are roomy, it is hard to tell if this is a modern... more

With all the negative reviews of varying states of cleanliness I'd been reading prior to our stay, needless to say I was a little hesitant. And trust me...pulling up to the hotel was not overly reassuring. HOWEVER, once inside I was a very happy customer. When you first pull off of Rt. 91 the Clarion is located directly next to... more

Good hotel for the price paid ($50 priceline). Hotel is very unique/strange and was probably a very nice place 10 years ago, but has not been kept up as should have been. (Finding my room felt like a psychological exam; compare it to a mouse in a maze) It is about a mile from the town area and a tough... more

We recently spent a weekend at the clarion and were pleased with our room and the place. While we heard that some of the rooms were musty. We were told that if you stay in section A, they are ok and since that is where we were, the room was fine. You are not quite as close to the pool,... more
