August 28, 2009 The Old Tavern Motel wins, hands down, for outstanding customer service. There is nothing you can ask that they won't try to fulfill. Based on reviews here, I thought I should stay here with my family. It is not terrible, but the place is old and needs to be refurbished. The staff are friendly, but lack a certain professionalism and polish. There was no shampoo in the bathroom, some hair in the tub, and the drainage was problematic. I will look for another... more

Last year we stayed here because of the price, this year we returned not only for the great rate but also the truly exellent service. An unexpected pleasure! The service was better than at many hotels. The proprietor was on-premises all day. They took care of our special needs, unlike most roadside motels. I will be returning for a third season. more
