Roosevelt Lodge was not available when booking and we instead booked Absaroka Lodge . The room had a great view overlooking the Yellowstone River with a private balcony. It was nice to again get wireless internet , air conditioning and television after staying inside Yellowstone with its blackout of the world. Dinner was very good at the Town Loft a... more

The Absaroka was a perfectly fine place to stay. It was clean and comfortable enough. My only real complaint was the lack of a dead bolt lock on the door. Considering there were 2 doors, one to the hallway and one to "porch" overlooking the river, it would have been nice to feel more secure. If you are looking for... more

We were really looking forward to staying here after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, however we were very disappointed with the stay! The room was very plain and not clean. We were to stay 3 nights, and changed it to 2 nights. If we could have found another place to stay the next night, we would have only stayed... more

We booked this motel based on reviews and we were very happy. We also enjoyed the view and the morning coffee. The room was very clean and adequate. They also have an ice machine that works!! The hotel will give you towels to go swimming at the Boiling River which is right inside Yellowstone. Also there are many whitewater rafting... more

We stayed in a kitchenette suite on 7/22/08 & 7/23/08 with two queen beds. It was on the lower level (down a flight of stairs) with a view of the river. The large room was very clean. A little foot noise could be heard from the room above. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Coffee, tea &... more

GREAT VIEW, basic room but GREAT RATE. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable enough. Toiletries are very basic so bring your favorite soap and shampoo. The view from from the room was very nice with at least two chairs on each balcony to watch the sunrise and sunset while listening to the rushing Yellowstone River. Hot Coffee... more

We stayed two nights at the Absaroka Lodge during our week in Yellowstone. It was terrific! The location was perfect for access to the Park, and the wildlife and scenery was amazing! The lodge was just perfect for our needs, comfortable and quaint. Each room has a balcony overlooking the river, which was just lovely. We were able to walk... more

I stayed here 2 nights Fall '07, a good value considering proximity to park. Unlike others comments, had no issues with room, no better or worse than other motels. The plus was walking distance to things, overlook of the river. The first floor has an open balcony, unlike the second with private ones. Who cares, it's Yellowstone. I found the... more

I was soooo looking forward to staying there, had a very 'romantic' vision of the running river, views, etc. after reading the posts on Trip Advisor. Wow. I am sooooo happy in retrospect that we had to cancel one night because of car problems and drive somewhere - 'anywhere' else! Front staff was courteous, however. Our room smelled awful, and... more

We had a downstairs corner room with a kitchen which was very modern - possibly this is one of the refurbished ones - and two very comfortable beds -we thought good value at $115. There were two points of entry, one downstairs from the corridor and one outside round to the river. There were ample towels and sample toiletries, but,... more
