My wife and I stayed here as part of a business conference at the end of July. We had a deluxe king room. We found the room to be spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a large counter w/ sink and there was a second sink outside the bathroom which was nice. The Lodge is just 5 minutes west... more

This hotel is not worth the price. We stayed in a loft suite. We have two small children. There were no child proof locks on the doors to prevent children from opening the doors and entering the main hallway of the hotel. They could simply pull the lever handle and be out the door. Every other hotel in America that... more

My husband and I were so disappointed in this hotel. The rooms were no better than a Motel 6, plain and shabby. The restaurant was so-so. The hotel staff were not that helpful. The only thing really going for this hotel is the golf course, which looks great. This place seems more set up for conventions and large business meetings.... more

We stayed at the Grouse Lodge as a part of a ski trip package. We were very happy with our room and the staff. We did have a problem one night in the restaurant as two of our group had gone in before us and already placed their order. When we joined them, the waiter brought us a menu, but... more

We were at the lodge for a conference, the meetings went well (kudos to the banquet dept) but the restaurant was a nightmare. Our group of 20 was split into 2 long tables, took 1/2 hour to get water/menus, and 2 hours (!!) to get our meal. The order was mixed up, some did not get what they ordered. Perhaps... more

We stayed at the Grouse Mountain 20 years ago on our honeymoon, so we decided to go there again (Sept 2007) to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed two nights in a loft room (one king size bed, and upstairs a tv room with two twin beds). The upstairs loft area was extremely warm, even though the weather was mild -... more

We visited Montana in September and stayed at the Grouse Mountain Lodge. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. I agree with some of the other reviews who said that the rooms were basic, but for us the room was adequate in that we were out and about most of the time. It felt a bit odd to have to walk past... more

We stayed here in Sept'07. It's an attractive property just outside the town of Whitefish right on a golf course. The common areas are nice - the lobby has a big fireplace and there's a nice indoor pool with two outdoor hot tubs. However, the rooms are nothing special. We had reserved a deluxe room overlooking the golf course with... more

We stayed for three nights in June 07. Room was large and comfortable but a long walk from the lounge area. Hotel is in a quiet location on the far side of Whitefish from Glacier National Park which is a 45 minute drive away. On the other hand the location is handy for the road to the US Canada border... more

My husband and I just came back from Whitefish. I had high expectations for this hotel as I read that on their website that Grouse Mountain Lodge is "one of the most elegant Montana resorts." Are they sure? Let me start with stating the good parts. Grouse Lodge's exterior and common areas are rustic and nice. It does give off... more
