Loved the Golden Nugget, great hotel for my first stay in Vegas, as it may not be on the strip, but the bus is so cheap it doesn't matter! Standard room, you get what you pay for, it was clean and nice. The pool is small but pretty cool as the aquarium is in the middle of it and the... more

This was my first trip to LV and I was told that it was a lot like a cruise ship on land. BIG difference! The casino and shows were fun, but the staff could care less about you or your needs. Don't ask for an extra towel at the pool or you will get a resounding "No" without explanation. Don't... more

We were supposed to be staying at the Golden Nugget for 1 night as part of a 6 night/7 day trip from May 7th-13th. Paid $59 for a standard room on hotwire.com. When we checked in we were offered a free upgrade in our room. We were checked into a Gold Club room on the 16th floor. The room was... more

Upgraded to a gold club room and it was really, really nice. It includes access to the gym and wireless. We love it downtown. You don't have to deal with the long walks, wind, sun, traffic lights. It is one huge party just steps away from your room. We love the Golden Nugget and always stay there when downtown. Two... more

Overall the Golden Nugget gives you a great value for your dollar. It is an older Vegas hotel that gives you very large rooms at a good price. They have renovated the North Tower rooms (which are more expensive), along with the shark tank and swimming pool area. Some of the rooms have a great view of the mountains or... more

Loved the golden nugget!!! plenty to do and see in the hotel and seemed to be the best of the hotels in the downtown/freemont street area of Vegas. Pool area was very good but hard to get a sun lounger on a very hot day!!! Casino itself was very nice with plenty of choice for gambling!!! Rooms in the hotel... more

My husband and I booked our stay at this Hotel on the recommendation of our travel agent and when I realised it was not on the strip I was a little apprehensive to say the least. But i needn't have worried.... This hotel is a gem! We stayed for a week from April 10th to 17th and when we arrived... more

The Golden Nugget was a very nice hotel overall. The rooms are ok - nothing fancy - but you have what you need. The pool area is great. It is a fun and beautiful environment suitable for most travelers - both romantic yet great for families. The one thing really missing from this hotel is the service. For a 4... more

We stayed at the Golden Nugget 5/4 - 5/7. My only compliant is that we did not get the room we wanted because Continental Airlines screwed up the flights and we arrived 7 hours late. (Avoid Continental's Newark hub at all costs.) The GN called the next day to move us to the room we requested but we were only... more

We stayed in a Gold Club Room May 3 - 5. We did VIP check-in to the Gold Club rooms and there was no line. The VIP attendants were very nice. Elevators are 30 feet down the hallway from the lobby and only steps away from the casino – really a nice change from the huge strip properties. Gold Club... more
