Four of us booked three nights planning to sample some of Franschhoek's dining and wining. From arrival it poured cats and dogs and venturing outdoors almost impossible. Suzette had booked us at Ruben's for the first meal and it was FANTASTIC. No wine farms because of rain on Saturday so Val d'Or turned the TV to the rugby gave us... more

We stayed here for 2 nights 18/19 December 2007 with our 2 sons aged 17 & 14 years of age. We had booked a self catering 2 bed suite which was just lovely. We found Val D'Or last minute and were thrilled. We had the entire Manor House to ourselves (just 4 people) and it was lovely. The pool was beautiful, and the food delicious. more
