We absolutely loved our 5 day stay at Jackelberry, it was perfect! Our goal was to stay in a luxury lodge without it being over the top. By the 2nd day, we saw the Big 5 and a lion feasting on dinner. The staff were wonderful to get to know, food was a delicious adventure, wild life incredible and the... more

We booked a trip through the South African Airways specials and it included two nights at this lodge. The facilities are outstanding, the staff both hospitable and knowledgeable, and the whole experience was outstanding. We had the opportunity to go on four incredible game drives where we were treated to sights of the Big Five, some courtship games between lions,... more

When booked our stay through Lion World Travel, we were somewhat skeptical. However, from the minute we arrived at the main gate, we were sure that we made the right decision. The main lodge is beautiful with a comfortable lounge area and a bar & dining room. There is also a great outdoor "boma" for al fresco dining. The pool... more

My long-time girlfriend and I stayed at Jackelberry Lodge from August 15 to 18, and we had an absoluetely amazing time. Everything from the lodging to meals to guest services to the actual safaris was top notch. Insofar as the lodging, we stayed in a standard chalet. It was very clean and roomy with an enormous bathroom (with a nice... more

Our family spent three perfect days in Jackalberry Lodge. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and wonderful. We will not forget the trouble the ranger and tracker team of Floris and Rual went to to finally find the lions in the day and the leopard on our last game drive! Every one from reception... more

Understated elegance, gracious hosts, ….and the animals ……..an experience you can’t visualize before you go and you can’t describe after you return. Pictures don’t do them justice. Seven thatch-roofed chalets with sitting area, patios, double sink, soaking tub and indoor and outdoor showers. The "public" areas were comfortable and well appointed with a pool, BOMA area, library, bar, sitting/eating area,... more

We enjoyed our stay at Jackalberry Lodge and were especially appreciative of the helpfulness of the staff and the size of the facility. The chalets were the perfect size and spaced so as to insure privacy. Our family used two of the chalets (a double and the family chalet), and found both to be clean and spacious. The family chalet... more

We throughly enjoyed our visit at the Jackalberry Lodge. The cabins are comfortable and well appointed. The pool is small but our daughters were quite happy with it; there's not really that much time to spend there if you participate in the game drives. Service at the lodge was outstanding throughout and it even extended beyond our stay. We had... more

I was pleasantly surprised at the service and amenities of the lodge. The food was really outstanding. Order the "rack of lamb". No, I'm not kidding. It was possibly the best I've ever had. The lodge is very informal and pleasant. Very clean and well cared for. Remember, don't plan on dressing for dinner. Slacks are fine. No need to... more

Spent 2 nights here and it wasn't enough!! The rooms are spectacular, food is great, and the animals on the game drives are unreal. The resort is small, quiet and has a real family feel. The rooms have an indoor/outdoor shower and a large tub for relaxing inbetween game drives. The pool is small but does the trick. There is... more
